Let me start that I am a Fedor fan. However, I do think his poop does stink like the rest of us. It's not gold like some might tell you but he is a hell of a fighter and one of the best ever to date. I am/was also a fan of Strikeforce, they have/had a great product. What I am not a fan of is M-1 for the same reasons why I have always hated Don King. They are bad for the sport of MMA IMO. I know the UFC gets blamed for making smaller MMA orgs go away but fact is, everybody that M-1 has worked with has fallen during their time together. And now M-1 is doing it with Strikeforce. This is not all of M-1 fault, Strikeforce/Showtime should take their share of the blame. For some reason, they "think" Fedor will become the biggest draw in all of MMA when Kimbo will outdraw him at every turn.

I'm not saying that's a good thing but it is what it is. Stikeforce has put a lot on the line in hopes of Fedor being the difference but with Fedor being a very inactive fighter, they are looking for other quick fixes. Lashley versus Can of the Week and a good ex NFL player are getting the fights on primetime instead of the legit fighters fighting legit fights. Jay Hieron versus Joe Riggs was the greatest fight of that night and nobody saw it. They show no signs of changing this trend and now are even bending over further for M-1. They are being force to renegotiate with a fighter they already have under contract after just 1 fight.

But at the same time, they give Rogers a title shot over the guy that just beat him. This takes away even more from a belt that has no value. Again, none of this is Fedor's fault. But as soon as they signed him, they moved up in their status as a MMA org, now they are trying to be the new big kids on the block but their product is failing miserable. Has there been too much damage already done or no damage at all. Maybe you think they are just fine. Will they be around this time next year. What say you??
