Careful world, there might be more than one of 'em.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned from sources close to the Nova Uniao camp that Renan Barao (20-1 MMA, 0-0 WEC), a top training partner to WEC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, has signed a multi-fight deal with the WEC and will debut for the promotion at June's WEC 49 event.

Barao is expected to fight fellow bantamweight Clint Godfrey (11-2 MMA, 0-1 WEC) on the evening's preliminary card.

Featuring a lightweight matchup between former champion Jamie Varner and fast-rising prospect Kamal Shalorus, "WEC 49: Varner vs. Shalorus" takes place June 20 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and is the promotion's first trip to the country. The main card airs live on Versus.

Meanwhile, Godfrey looks to bounce back from a unanimous-decision loss to Wagnney Fabiano at WEC 46 in January.

Godfrey, a three-plus-year pro entered his WEC debut bout with Faniano with an eight-fight win streak. The 27-year-old fought for a variety of regional promotions throughout the country before making his way to the WEC. Godfrey, and eight of his 11 career wins have come by way of stoppage.
