Dana White must have laid some major money on 3-to-1 underdog Antonio Silva on Saturday, because the UFC president was all smiles after “Bigfoot” beat up Fedor Emelianenko last night. Oh yeah, watching Strikeforce’s biggest meal ticket fall for the second consecutive time likely played a role in White’s jovial mood, as well.

While the brash promoter has never been one to shy away from a good verbal sparring session, White allowed his thumbs to do the talking for him following the shocking upset. Although White claimed he didn’t watch his rival’s outrageously hyped Heavyweight Grand Prix, his Twitter account immediately expressed its pleasure in what took place inside the IZOD Center in New Jersey.

” White posted minutes after Emelianenko started contemplating retirement.

He issued a similar message when Fabricio Werdum sent the Russian on this downward spiral last June. Except this time, White said he wanted to hear what the Twitter world had to say. As expected, he had plenty to type right back.

White stayed up until 4AM fielding questions from friends and foes alike. It was roughly six hours after Emelianenko PLUMMETED his record to 31-3 (1 NC).

Here are several of White’s more memorable tweets:

wtf has he done for the sport!? Ur [expletive] nuts

M1 = M done! What did I tell you Vadummy!!

he was INCREDIBLY mismanaged!! Worst management in fight history

the media here in america has embarrassed themselves over the past couple years with the fedor BS

the internet has fabricated this whole fedor thing and scared the living [expletive] out of the media and the net geeks r bummin now

Hundreds of net nerds signed up for twitter tonite cause they are pissed he lost and all their BS came crashn down 2 nite

who the [expletive] has he fought in his last 5 fights that meant anything? Its OVER now so u can stop defending him

I honestly believe he has been done for a while but he would have at least gone out fighting the best

I didn’t see it only heard the result

hasn’t fought anyone that matters since 2006
Apparently, one of White’s 1.3 Million Twitter followers is Evgeni Kogan. As expected, M-1 Global’s director of operations quickly took up for his fallen comrade.

“Easy to be a prick tweeting on your phone, isn’t it? Come see us and say it to Vadim’s face – we’re in ‘Jersey, coward,” Kogan tweeted.

White has tried to recruit Emelianenko to fight inside of his Octagon for years to no avail. To him, Fedor will always be the one that got away. It appears his heartbreak has quickly subsided.
